Sepia Snuggle Caturday Art

Wow Arty, I think Mama may be a bit out of control with this art stuff...
I know Jakey, I can hardly even tell this is us!!

A bit of sepia tone, texturing and fairy art over at Lunapic with a quick frame over at PicMonkey resulted in this piece of Modern Art by Mama!

We are joining Athena over at Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty
for the Caturday Art Blog Hop!

Rhododendron Flower Friday

Jakey here today to wish everyone a very Happy Flower Friday!! This week Mama and I wanted to show you the different Rhododendron blooms in the area! Mama has a special mad crazy obsession love for these pretty blooms!

Mama admired this small rhody that she found in the nearby Arcata Town Square.

This beautiful Spring pink bloom is one of our backyard blooms!

Our backyard bushes don't look too healthy this year, do they Mama?? You might want to pay a bit more attention to them this year, just sayin'...

Although the bushes aren't doing well, we did get some pretty bloom clusters...Here is one of our dark pink blooms.

...and a curly rhody bloom glistening after a rain shower.

Our white rhody bush has a few different bloom clusters that look much better thank they did last year!

The sun has even come out so we can get out and enjoy all the pretty blooms!

These are Mama' s favorite yard rhodies, she loves the splash of orange in the center.

Let's wrap things up with a closer look....

We hope you enjoyed our rhododendrons!! Make sure to join us next week when Arty and Mama show you the beautiful Lupines in the area!!

We also hear Mini Dory is with Mama in that Lost Wages place this weekend enjoying all the pretty casino flowers! They will feature them in a Flower Friday coming soon!

Hop aboard and show us the flowers blooming in your corner of the world (If you don't see the link here, please click HERE to go to our Hoppity page)!!

May Challenge from Louis and Blogville's Art & Entertainment Department!

We love the Little Mermaid because it reminds us of Angel Dory.

Angel Dory longed to see fishies under the sea(without getting wet of course) and used her imagination to help her see them in her story Once Upon a Time Under the Sea.
Click HERE to revisit the story!

Thanks SOOOO MUCH to Louis and his Mama for all there hard work putting these Monthly Challenges together!
Make sure to stop by the Blogville Arts and Entertainment page to see all of Blogville's favorite stories!!

Travel Tuesday

Jakey here today to wish everybuddy a very Happy Travel Tuesday!!
Before I share our fun stay at the Sou'wester resort, I thought I would show
 you around our RV!!

Here it is from the outside! Once again, the RV place must have heard the Blogville Mayor would be traveling in it because it was brandy new!

This is our bedroom that we shared with Mama and Daddy for one night before we decided it might be better for one of the peeps to sleep elsewhere
as they were hogging all of the bed!

Here is the view from our bedroom. The peeps had a little bathroom directly to the left in this picture.

 Now, on to our stay!!
It was pouring rain when we arrived and again when we left, so we didn't get to see much of the place. But Mama took us on a quick walkabout before we left. You can visit the Sou'wester Homepage

Mama loved the "Artsy" feel of this place from the Lodge...It was built in 1892 and the upstairs was originally a ballroom!!!

They had all knds of cool stuff in  the "honor system" Thrifty Trailer!

 The vintage trailers were adorable!
Mama says the next time we take a trip or she goes on a photo journey it will be during the, not as rainy, summer when she can explore more without having to worry about our muddy pawsies! She would love to stay in one of the trailers!

It stopped raining for awhile and we headed out on the Discovery Trail which is within walking distance of the Sou'wester! We went north for like 87 miles (or maybe 2).

 We saw cool dolphin statues...

...and I even posed on it!

Of course, Mama had to stop and take 87 pictures and I had to keep her moving so we could catch up to Daddy!

 We saw some COOL kites!

...and some wooden whales...

We all saw our very first Bald Eagle in the wild and we didn't bark at it or anything!!

With all the rains, Mama didn't get as many pictures as she would have liked, but we had a very relaxing time at the Sou'wester!!

Make sure to join us next week as our rainy day adventures continue through Ocean City State Park and Forks, Washington!!
